New Rotating anode (Cu) routine Diffractometer (RAPIDX)

Description

Bruker D8 Discover Bragg-Brentano geometry with Cu rotating anode with auto sample changer will be installed in Aug 2024

Details

  1. Equipped with a Cu rotating anode.
  2. Features the latest XE T detector, which suppresses all fluorescence
  3. Lightning-fast data collection—what used to take 5 minutes on routine machine now takes less than a minute!
  4. No monochromator  (you’ll see both Cu K-alpha1 and 2 in your pattern), resulting in a higher X-ray beam intensity.
  5. Comes with a motorized beam knife.
  6. Enables data collection starting from 0.5 degrees with specialized data collection strategies. (Ideal for very large unit cells and MOFs)
  7. Ideal for diffraction from very thin-layered films (20-100 nm and above) using specialized strategies.
  8. Capable of PXRD data collection from even very rough surfaces.

If you have unique samples, we can discuss and tailor the data collection strategy to suit them.
